Image interpretation is a skill that is required by a range of healthcare professionals to enhance the service they provide, and the aim of this course is to enable practitioners to develop and/or improve their skills in interpretation of radiographic images of the chest. These activities help primary care providers develop skills in the interpretation of chest and abdominal X-rays by identifying normal and abnormal findings.

This module is delivered through supported online learning, via the University's Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle. Teaching utilises a range of structured learning materials and activities and directed study, facilitated by regular online tutor contact, allowing students to contextualise their learning to their own workplace where appropriate.
