Global Medical Conferences 2024: TRANSMEDCON and the 17th APRU Global Health Conference

Welcome to TRANSMEDCON 2024! We are honored to have you all join us in Chennai for the esteemed 12th Annual National Conference of the Indian Society of Transfusion Medicine, or “TRANSMEDCON 2024,” which will be held at the Hotel Kaldan Samudhra Palace in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu, on September 26–29, 2024.

TRANSMEDCON 2024: Transfusion Medicine Excellence

The conference’s theme is “Discuss-Debate-Deliberate.” This annual conference promises a comprehensive scientific program encompassing a wide array of topics crucial to the transfusion medicine specialty. Distinguished national and international speakers will share their insights and experiences, highlighting recent technological advancements and addressing pertinent issues in donor management and clinical transfusion practice.

This conference offers a special chance for attendees, especially postgraduate students, to interact with top authorities in the field, promoting insightful discussion and knowledge sharing. Regarding recognition, every year ISTM will honour distinguished workers in various categories. These awards will be given at the time of Inaugural ceremony of TRANSMEDCON national conference. Interested members are requested to submit detailed bio-data along with the research work duly approved by Head of the Department.

The 17th APRU Global Health Conference 2024

The 17th APRU Global Health Conference 2024 will be held in Bangkok, Thailand on November 4 – 6, 2024. The Conference is organized by the School of Global Health, Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University in collaboration with the APRU Global Health Program. The theme of this year is “Harmonizing Human and Planetary Health Through Innovation, AI, and Digital Transformation.”

Scientific Tracks and Call for Abstracts

The conference welcomes submission of abstracts following the tracks including:

• Track A: Harnessing digital transformation and artificial intelligence for health
• Track B: Health financing, geopolitics, bioethics, and education
• Track C: Climate Change, Pollution, and Planetary Health
• Track D: Health Systems
• Track E: Non-Communicable Diseases
• Track F: Communicable Diseases

The abstracts will be reviewed by an international review panel and the Conference Organizing Committee. Abstracts will be scored by indicators including global health significance, impact, novelty, appropriateness of methods, presentation for results, and overall clarity. The highest-scoring abstracts will be selected for oral presentation in sessions or as posters to be displayed on the website and on-site.

APRU Global Health Conference 2024 Schedule

• Abstract Acceptance Notification: August 20, 2024

Enroll yourself in the ongoing slab and grab the discounted fee. For the APRU event, current full-time undergraduate and graduate students (including medical students) from any university are invited to submit an academic poster along with an abstract of 150 words related to broadly global health for the 2024 contest. A prize of $500 US will be awarded for the best undergraduate and best graduate posters.
