Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)

SuperiorCare Medical Academy proudly presents our newest program — the Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) — designed to give students a strong foundation in patient care with an introduction to the field of dialysis. This 20-week program provides a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory training, and real-world clinical experience. Students will be prepared to work as versatile healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics, and outpatient settings while earning dual certification as both a Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) and a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).

Program Schedule and Clinical Rotations

Students attend in-person classes twice weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays, with two sessions available:

  • Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Evening Session: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Students will complete two clinical rotations, each lasting two weeks (32 hours per week), totaling 128 clinical hours. Clinical Rotation 1 provides a general medical clinic setting to reinforce core patient care skills, while Clinical Rotation 2 offers a dialysis clinic experience introducing students to the fundamentals of kidney care and the dialysis process. We are proud to partner with DaVita Dialysis Clinics, offering our students exposure to real-world dialysis care environments.

Certified Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)

SuperiorCare Medical Academy is excited to be offering this program online to prospective students. A billing and coding certification is a professional credential that recognizes billing and coding specialists and helps them showcase their expertise to employers. A billing and coding specialist processes medical bills, insurance claims and payments, creating coded data that hospitals and medical providers use to obtain reimbursement from insurance companies.
