World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) Internship

We are pleased to invite you to become an intern at the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME), as part of the WFME-IFMSA internship program. Interns will work at the headquarters of the World Federation for Medical Education, in Ferney-Voltaire, France (20 minutes from Geneva, Switzerland). This internship is opened for a medical student to join the WFME office for a 3 month period and support the development of the World Directory of Medical Schools.

What is provided for the chosen intern?

  • 800EUR monthly stipend (or 500EUR for students who find external funding, like Erasmus).
  • Free airplane transportation from the intern’s country of origin to Ferney-Voltaire, up to 750EUR.

Key skills and attributes required:

  • Knowledge and familiarity with the use of databases/excel and an excellent ability to work independently.

WHO Regional Office for Africa Internships

The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) that is concerned with international public health. WHO's internship program offers a wide range of opportunities for students to gain insight into the technical work of WHO. For this term, IFMSA has an agreement with WHO AFRO to facilitate internships at the regional and national level in Africa. Internship opportunities will be offered at the WHO AFRO Office in Congo-Brazzaville and WHO country offices of the African Region that are willing to take interns.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Be at least 20 years of age on the date of application.
  • Be enrolled in a course of study at a university or equivalent institution leading to a formal qualification.
  • Have completed three years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution prior to commencing the assignment.
  • Be fluent in either English or French, the working languages of AFRO.

Note: WHO internships are not paid and all costs of travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the intern.

Ekal Medical Winter Internship in Rural India

Ekal Vidyalaya is excited to announce a new opportunity for college students passionate about healthcare and service: the Ekal Medical Winter Internship. This 3-week program offers students the chance to gain firsthand experience in rural India, working at the intersection of medicine, public health, and community service.
