Collaborations in Nutrition and Dietetics Research

KNDI, Mount Kenya University (MKU) and Center for Excellence in Population Health and Policy Research from Bayero University Kano state in Nigeria held an inaugural meeting at MKU premises to discuss matters of Collaborations. Top in the list of discussions were collaboration in research, capacity building programs and Masters/PhD exchange programmes for students. KNDI CEO Dr. Okeyo informed that KNDI through its ATRI-PLC programme will bring together accredited universities to collaborate on matters of in nutrition and dietetics research and connected purposes.

MKU’s Nutrition and Dietetics department is set to offer postgraduate training. The department of Nutrition and Dietetics at MKU admitted its first group of students in 2005. Furthermore, the 7th Africa International Biotechnology and Biomedical Conference (AIBBC 2025) and the launch of the Centre for Malaria Elimination reflect the university's commitment to medical research.
