Novel Clinical Trial Design in Translational Medicine

Translational and experimental medicine is one of the fastest-growing fields in biomedical research – focusing on turning scientific discoveries into practical solutions for patient care. In this cutting-edge eight-week course, you’ll explore how recent advances in trial design – including adaptive platforms, digital delivery and new endpoints – are reshaping therapy development in clinical science. This course is designed for professionals with a strong background in biomedical science, either through a relevant degree or demonstrable experience.

The Cambridge University Medical Library

Welcome to the Cambridge University Medical Library, supporting the University of Cambridge and the NHS in Cambridge and East of England. The Medical Library is here to help, whether you want to access our print and electronic collections, get support for your studies or research, or simply work quietly. We have all the databases you’ll need, including PubMed, Medline, CINAHL, PsycINFO and Embase, plus “teach yourself” guides.

Library Access and Operating Hours

The Library is open during the following hours:

• 8am-7.45pm Monday – Friday
• 9am-4.45pm Saturday

Staff are available at the enquiry desk from 10am-4pm Monday and Friday, 10am-7pm Tuesday – Thursday, and 1pm-4pm Saturday. Please note that for the 2025 Bank Holidays, the library will be closed for the bank holiday on 25 August, and the library will close at 12:00 on Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24th December 2025.
