Richard S. Roth, MD is a Senior FAA Aviation Medical Examiner that is dedicated to assisting airmen with their medical certification needs. Offering FAA AME services since 2005, Dr. Roth and Angel Moore, CAA, offer aviators and air traffic controllers decades of experience to assist them in their medical certification requirements. Furthermore, Roth Aviation Medical Services is the only FAA Aviation Medical Examiner located on the KSAV airport premises.

The FAA MedXPress Process

The FAA MedXPress system allows anyone to electronically complete an FAA Medical Clearance or Medical Certificate application prior to their FAA Medical Examinations. The information that is entered into MedXPress will be available to your FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) to review at the time of your medical examination. To prepare, please fill out the FAA MEDXPRESS form and please bring your confirmation number with you to your appointment.

Specialized Medical Services

• Consultative Services: Medical Certification Consultative Services focuses on airmen attempting to regain their eligibility due to certain diseases or medical conditions.
• HIMS AME Services: Doctor Roth is a certified HIMS AME assisting clients’ FAA needs in dealing with alcohol, substance, and mental health complexities.
